Welcome to the 30th anniversary edition of the Las Vegas Review-Journal Best of Las Vegas readers' poll. It's your chance to share your favorite people, places and things with other readers. The poll opens with the Best Hotels and Best Entertainment categories. Voting in these categories will end at 5 p.m. Jan. 17.
Meanwhile, voting in the Best Shopping, Best People, Best Sports Spots and Best of the Worst categories will begin at 2 a.m. Jan. 16 and continue until 5 p.m. Jan. 24. The final ballot, containing the Best Eat & Drink and Best Locations categories, will run from 2 a.m. Jan. 23 to 5 p.m. Jan. 31.
The rules for voting online are simple: There are three ballots in three weeks, meaning you can vote once on each ballot for a total of three ballots cast. We ask participants to play fair and not attempt ballot stuffing campaigns. Those caught ballot stuffing will be removed from consideration.
Registration is required the first time you vote; afterward, you will need only your user name and e-mail address to participate.
The following prizes will be awarded through a random drawing after poll results are released March 27: two tickets to see the Best All-Around Performer; two tickets for the Best Show; dinner for two at the Best Gourmet Restaurant in a hotel; dinner for two in the Best Gourmet Restaurant not in a hotel; lunch for two at the Best Place for a Power Lunch; a gift certificate to the Best Mall; and a grand prize of a night on the town, including dinner, a show and an overnight stay at a local hotel.
